Migrating my digital darkroom to Linux is a breeze with PCLinuxOS Photo Edition http://www.dfpe.pclinuxos.nl/ but I need to get at new film scanner. My Canon 8000F is just fine on Win, but will not run under Linux. Any suggestions? I have tons of 135films and a few 120s (my 120films are not essential but it would be nice if the scanner could handle these as well).

Although VueScan is not free, I understand it supports the 8000F fully. http://www.hamrick.com/

I'll continue to look for OSS options. Try googling for "+8000F +linux"

According to the listed scanners, vuescan only supports the 8000f on Win and Mac - too bad... Sad
