Here's 3 I did for the Klikit-Linux distro.      http://dadster.deviantart.com/art/ICE-KLIKIT-wallpaper-78696503

I'm happy to submit these works to those at Klikit. They're a really great bunch of linux supporters and that's what we're doing here at LGU forum when we pitch in and help.

I like the last one. But, maybe a bit more burgandy-ish to the background?
are there any vector files to work with? i.e., the penguin with the "stuffed animal"? Smiley

Not really sure what the folks at Klikit are looking for. These are a couple of 1680x1050 widescreen wallpapers. Maybe you can past them along.

Whoa.... those are huge Cheesy I think we should try to keep our image posting down to about 800x600 or even 600x450? Just because these would be murder on anyone with dial-up Wink
Beside that... I LOVE the Klikit button Jaws..... I think that's definitely something to pass onto them to check out Smiley
What they really need to do, is establish what the name "Klickit" is going to look like as a default They need to establish an identity Wink

Yeah, well I tried to upload the images to smf but the server is won't accept them (the uploader is full).

I was tired last night and I couldn't get the thumbnail images from the image hosting site I use to work. I'm still having trouble with thumbnail code and LGU, it doesn't work for me, whereas other smf forums (pclos) work fine.

Now I know what to do, won't happen again. Still it would be nice to be able to have thumbnail in the posts themselves.

Cheers

BTW, thanks for the compliment, Paul. Much appreciated.

Whenever I create a wallpaper I always try it out on my desktop to see how it looks. That's why I create them at 1680x1050 widescreen, so yeah, they're big. Actually, I do them at 800x500 and export to bitmap at the larger size.

Anyway, I got the red Klikit button on my desktop and it looks good widescreen.

Cheers

Hi Jaws    I linked them over on the Klikit forum and have gotten good response.    My suggestion to them to come up with some guidelines as far as what they have in mind for graphics is now being considered so anything we throw at them will help decide where they want to go in design.

And BTW  Great work Grin Grin

Hey Dad, thanks. I get lucky once in a while. I'm glad I got those images sorted before you linked them.

Cheers

Hi Jaws, Those wallpapers look really cool. We are just getting rolling and now have space reserved for the Klikit Artwork Team. We also have a lounge area for the same. I would like to invite you to join with us on this exciting project. Although I'm not an artist I have been chosen/elected to be the team leader. Any help you could give us would be greatly appreciated. We will have a proper place to upload your work and credit will be given to the owner.

Thanks again and I am looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Sincerest Regards,
JonC

I just discussed that very thing with the Klikit team and Chris, our founder and lead developer.
The team says they think the sky is the limit and let your imaginations run wild...
Chris says he will address it after the release of our next release candidate (Hopefully within the next week or so).
He says he has some surprises that will tell us allot about what colors to use.

In the mean time, the colors we use most are mostly like the Klikit mascot and logo.

You can see what i mean by going here:

Edit: and the "Klikit font"  (right click and Save Link As...)

Anybody wanna make a slick wallpaper of the Klikit girl?  Shocked Grin

Thanks to everyone for your efforts so far!  Cool
