My usual Cinepaint workflow is very simple. I open the raw image with Cinepaint. Cinpaint offers to convert the image to Wide RGB which I accept.
I then go to Image > Colors > Levels, and adjust as needed.
If I notice that the image is to green, or too red, etc, I go to Image > Color > Color Balance, and adjust as needed.
Sometimes, if the image colors are a little flat, I go to Image > Colors > Hue Saturation, and adjust as needed.
After that, I go to Filters > Enhance > Unsharp Mask, Set the Radius to 1.0, the Ammount to somwhere between 50 and 85, depending on the picture, and press OK.
I then go to Image > Assign ICC Profile, and select sRGB.
I then convert the image to 8 bit for exporting as JPEG by going to Image > 8-bit Unsign Integer.
I then save a JPEG and I'm done.
